Big Update! 0.2.0!
Oh boy! This was a long time coming! But after watching a few people from different "niches" play the game, I realised there was a lot of work to do! Anyways, enough with the boring talk, let's get to the fun stuff!
1. Journals: I have added, in the items, journals. Upon using a journal, it will give a hint as to what you are currently up to. Not every little thing in the game will have a journal though! There are plenty of things for the eager explorer to find.
2. More of the story: This update pushes the story forward a little, with a few little cutscenes, and a little lore.
3. A sneak peek of the next area: I mean....this is kinda self explanatory I guess XD
4. More hidden stuff an events: Secrets. If I told you I would have to....well....hide the stuff again? And some new peaople/interactions have been added too!
5. Some stat collecting: Although these stats are not useful to you currently, they are important for coming updates and features. I figured I would add some stat collecting now so you don't miss out on the numbers till then!
6. Some more skills: Until now, battle has been attack, repeat (or in boss encounters attack, defend) and that is it. Boring. This update changes some of the battles, and adds a few new skills. It still isn't fully there yet, but the next update should address that more comprehensively! At least it is better than the "just press x" feeling previous!
7. Some new items/gear: You need to get something out of repeating the dungeon or any current content right? The is also a few rare drops added, but we shall see if anyone finds them...
8. Better events: Some events felt really clunky, unpolished, or were bugged in a way that might break the game. I did a lot of event rewriting and fixing for this update, and now it works with the new "Journals" system.
I have worked hard at making sure everything works, but if you find anything, be sure to tell me about it! I will patch it soon as possible.
I am really excited to start working on the next update, and since a lot of the tilesets, items, and people are already drawn/designed, it shouldn't take so long this time :)
So far, this is an unfinished game, and it is still free, so any support is greatly welcomed! However, in the future, as the game draws closer to completion, new updates will be paid (although affordable!). We are still a long way off that point yet! I will speak more on those plans in further updates :)
